Mecklenburg County has launched a pilot Participatory Budgeting Program, a.k.a. PB Meck, for the upcoming Fiscal Year 2023 budget. This program puts decision-making power into the hands of county residents. For the first time ever, eligible ideas proposed by residents could be funded for up to $125,000 (per idea), for each of six County Districts.
